Despite an economy that’s trending downward, there are plenty of good stocks to invest or trade in on the NYSE Stock Market. For this article, I decided to look for big gainers that have increased by at least 50% over the past year.
Here are 5 NYSE stocks with huge momentum over the past 52 weeks:
- Kronos Worldwide, Inc. (KRO) – Kronos is up 150% over the past 52 weeks. It’s trading just under $16 and has a market cap of $782 million.
- Pennsylvania REIT (PEI) – Another NYSE gainer that’s up almost 150%. PEI closed at just over $15 per share.
- Oil States International, Inc. (OIS) Oil States is on the rise. It’s market cap is $2.2 billion. It’s been inching higher each month.
- Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. (JAS) It’s come down off it’s high of $48.24 and last traded at $42.07. 1st quarter sales results didn’t meet expectations evidently, because this one is down about 5.21% today. Could it bounce back?
- CBS Corporation (CBS) With over $10 billion in market cap, CBS, has boomed over the past 52 weeks. Over the past few days it’s pulled back slightly (a few percent) off its 52-week high of $15.50 to trade at $14.96.
